The Best of the Botswana - 10 Days

This safari will take you into four different areas of the Okavango Delta, Kwai River area, Savute and the Chobe National Park.

This safari starts in Maun and ends in Kasane (Botswana).

This is a Combination Safari with 3 nights in en-suite mobile safari tents and 6 nights in Luxury and Exclusive Lodges.



Overnight in Leroo La Tau Lodge - Fully Inclusive

Air Botswana will carry you safely from Johannesburg International Airport, which departs at 10:10 am (ETD) every day, and arrives at Maun Airport, on the fringe of the Okavango Delta, at 12:10 am.

Upon arrival you will be met by your private guide and welcome into Botswana, after a short introduction you will departure for your first destination –Leroo La Tau Lodge, where you will spend your first 2 nights.

Your guide will fly with you to your first destination and remain with you for the entire safari.

Activities included: Mokoro, boating, fishing, walking safari

The park, populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators, offers guests the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction. The lodge offers a raised hide above the river where guests can enjoy the spectacular wildlife sightings that we’ve come to expect in this part of Botswana.With just 12 thatched chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms, a dining room, reading room and bar in the main lodge, expansive wooden decks and a plunge pool, guests can immerse themselves seamlessly into the ultimate wildlife experience in Botswana.Having explored the area and enjoyed a spectacular wildlife phenomenon on guided day and night game drives, guests can retire after dinner to a splendid fireplace overlooking the river. After breakfast you will leave the Desert area to drive via Maun into the Okavango Delta.

Day 03, 04 & 05: (3 Nights) OKAVANGO DELTA – KWAI RIVER AREA

Day 03 – Transferring day by car and afternoon game drive

Day 04 and 05 - Exploring Day Early morning departure from our camp in search of various predators (such as lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyaena) antelope (such as impala, lechwe, reedbuck, tsessebe) and other game such as giraffe, zebra, etc and of course also the birds that inhabit this area.

We return to camp around 11:30 for Brunch. The early part of the afternoon is spent relaxing and reading in, and around the camp. Once it becomes cooler towards the late afternoon we once again depart on a game-drive, returning to camp after sunset for our night in the wilds.

You will stop in Maun for a quick lunch and your private guide will take into a new area along the Khwai River in the eastern part of Moremi. The road today is 2 hours on the tarred road and ¾ hours through the wild area of the Eastern part of the Okavango Delta where you have already a chance to sight animals.Today we will enjoy an afternoon game drive and be back at our camp just after sunset, with enough time to settle in before having our evening meal. Afterwards we will relax around the campfire, where your guide will explain the extra safety precautions and the differences between the tented camp and Lodges you have been staying at.Our daily schedules consist of early morning and afternoon game drive, exploring and observing the animals in their natural state.The large floodplains of this area provide good grasses for various species of antelope, which are followed by the predators.

The Khwai River forms the northern border of Moremi and is the major outflow of the delta in the East. This is where we will spend the majority of our time game-driving. In this area we can also organize night game drives.


Overnight in Savute Safari Lodge – Fully InclusiveDeparting the Okavango Delta, we will drive to Savute in Southern Chobe National Park, one of Africa’s most densely populated predator areas and is also well known for its sightings of bull elephants. The Savute Marsh offers an ever-changing spectacle of birds and wildlife.

Activities included: Game drives

The area is renowned for its population of bull elephant and for the unique interaction of the resident predator species. The close proximity of wildlife translates itself into the recently refurbished, modern African décor.All suites have private decks, combined bedroom and sitting areas and en-suite facilities. The sitting area, library and cocktail bar are situated in an exquisite thatch and timber main building.Savute boasts a viewing deck, an al fresco dining area and swimming pool – which is ideal for watching game at the waterhole. These features set the lodge apart from other typical safari destinations.Open 4x4 game drives are conducted in the Savute area, including the famous Savute Marsh, and the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills, add magic to a delightful African safari.

Day 08 & 09: (2 Nights) CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

Overnight in Chobe Game Lodge – Fully Inclusive

Departing Savute, we make our way towards Northern Chobe National Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 10,566 square kilometres. This park has one of the greatest concentrations of game found on the African continent. Its uniqueness in the abundance of wildlife and the true African nature of the region, offers a safari experience of a lifetime. Upon arrival at your third lodge, enjoy some time to relax before setting out on your afternoon game drive activity.

Activities included: game drives and sunset cruise on the Chobe River

Set out on your afternoon game activity - a sundowner cruise on the magnificent Chobe River or an exciting game drive exploring the Chobe area. Sunset cruises are spectacular as you will be able to view the wildlife that congregates at the water’s edge whilst enjoying an awe inspiring African sunset.

The Chobe area is renowned for magnificent star-gazing and your professional guide will be happy to show you the African skies and explain local folklore.

Day 10: fly out                                                                              

After breakfast your guide will drop you off at the airport in time to connect your flight to Johannesburg.

Overnight at Zambezi Sun or Royal Livingstone - BB

This morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred by road to the Kazangula border post, where you will clear

Customs cross over the Zambezi River, by speed boat, into Zambia.

After one and a half hour drive we will arrive in Livingstone where you will be met by the representative of your

Lodge and transferred to your hotel to check in and relax.

Included activities: Border and Airport Transfer

Suggested activities: a visit to Victoria Falls (Mosi-oa-Tunya), a sunset game viewing cruise; Livingstone town tour

 (including the local market visit and museum entry); white-water rafting, scenic flights over the Falls (by helicopter,

 small plane or micro-lite), elephant-back, horse-back, walking or riverboat safaris, abseiling, bungee-jumping and

 Extreme combos!

Day 13:

After breakfast your lodge will drop you off at the
